Steven Kramer is a senior associate with Feldman, Kramer and Monaco, P.C., (FKM) headquartered in Hauppauge, New York. Kramer graduated from North Adams State College, receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law in 1997. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1998 and to the New York Federal Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts. Kramer’s areas of concentration include trust and estates, and elder law.

Over the past decade, Kramer has established FKM as one of the leading Pre Paid Legal Service Plan Provider Law Firms, working with hundreds of unions and representing well over 400,000 lives. Lead by Kramer, his team of dedicated attorneys provide legal consultation, estate planning and a vast array of client representational services to their clients.

From his early beginnings, Kramer has worked with a diverse audience and demographic, especially with families and seniors. His passions led to the advancement of the firm’s Elder Law Department, built to protect individuals and families for the unexpected illness while preserving their assets.

Kramer is a professional public speaker and has lectured to the New York State Bar Association, Practicing Law Institute, Account’s Resource Group, New York State United Teachers Union, United Federation of Teachers, Council of School Supervisors & Administrators, Public Employees Federation, Nassau County Correction Officers, Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs Association, the Preferred Provider Group, Prepaid Legal and Legal Shield, Nassau Community College, Civil Service Employees Association, Association of Municipal Employees, DC-37, IBEW Local 3, Sanitation Officers Union, New York State Court Clerks Union, Association of Surrogates & Supreme Court Reporters, AAUP, School Administrators Association of New York State, Long Island Family Caregiver Coalition, Financial Planning Association, and American Prepaid Legal Services Institute.

Recognizing the need for providing a knowledgeable guiding hand for families and young adults to manage student debt, Kramer created the National Student Debt Forgiveness Center (NSDFC). NSDFC is comprised of a team of educated and professional loan councilors that help navigate clients through the loan forgiveness and consolidation process. A trained Student Loan Counselor diagnoses the situation, helps to set goals, educates on available options such as Public Service Loan Forgiveness, and aid in completing a plan wherein the client can lower their monthly payments and ultimately achieve loan forgiveness.

Kramer is also the founder of the Estate Wellness Forum and The Medicaid Coordinator Round Table. He is a board member of the Long Island Family Caregiver Coalition and has been featured on the NPR radio program “What’s up Doc.”

Kramer is married, has a son and a Bernese Mountain dog. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, surfer, sailboat racer and mountain climber.
