Janet Koch

CEO
Life’s WORC

Janet Koch, Life’s WORC CEO, has dedicated her entire career in support of people with developmental disabilities. In 2009, Janet joined Life’s WORC as its CFO, managing the organization’s then $45-million annual budget. Her positive leadership, extensive experience, and commitment to the organization’s high standards of service led to her being named CEO in 2014.

Under Janet’s leadership, the organization continued to grow, opening the Life’s WORC Family Center in 2015, adding eight additional homes, expanding its day programs and services, and growing the annual budget to over $55 million. In addition, she lends her financial leadership to the Life’s WORC pooled trust program, offering a full range of trusts for people with disabilities.

Janet’s strong leadership and vision are further evidenced in the growth of the Life’s WORC innovative pre-vocational and vocational rehabilitation programs, enabling people with intellectual and development disabilities and autism to gain employment and volunteer opportunities throughout the community.

Janet’s dedication to serving people with disabilities is not limited to Life’s WORC. She lends her financial acumen to other organizations in New York and across the nation and serves on committees and the Board of Directors for several disability advocacy organizations. She has also been a member of the Audit Committee for the Commack Union Free School District and is a graduate of the Molloy College Energia Partnership program. Shortly after being promoted to the position of CEO of Life’s WORC, she was honored with the 2015 LI Power Women in Business Award.
