Oscar Fabregas, who was born in the Bronx to Puerto Rican parents, Miguel and Norma Fabregas, is a proud parent of twins, Andres and Christian.
At an early age, Fabregas’s family moved back to Puerto Rico, and he was raised in a small town called Peñuelas.
After graduating from Jose de Diego High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served for four years of active duty as an Infantry soldier stationed in Ft. Wainwright, AK.
Fabregas continued his service with various National Guard units, where he served in several natural disasters and national emergencies.
He has volunteered his services to Parkchester Little League by coaching, training young athletes and guiding the league in maintaining their non-for-profit status.
Additionally, in times of need, Fabregas has helped to collect funds and food for church groups, for the needy and members of the community for victims of natural disasters.
Fabregas earned his BBA in business management and accounting from Monroe College.
In 2014, he joined a small tax firm, Bronx Tax Man Corp, where he has devoted his professional knowledge to assisting the immigrant population and small business community.
His focus is on tax-based incentives and funds, loans and other support to stimulate business growth. He also assists with business formations and ITIN filings.
Fabregas has provided extensive assistance to minority-and women-owned businesses by guiding them in opportunities to grow their businesses and by helping them to navigate the opportunities made available by New York’s Empire State Development Corp.
Most recent, Fabregas passed three exams to become a Certified Enrolled Agent, which allows him the privilege of representing taxpayers before the IRS.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Fabregas has been extremely active in maximizing assistance offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Such opportunities include paycheck protection, loans for economic relief and assistance to food service businesses.
