Plum Builders has been in business since 1982 building custom homes and market homes. Today, in 2021, we’re a family firm with extraordinary partners on the team. Responding to the market, Plum offers clients a custom building experience through an integrated process uniting both architectural design with residential construction. This approach synthesizes planning, design, budget analysis and construction to efficiently deliver to its participants a successful project through one responsible partner.
Since 2009 we’ve been known for our creative work with The Modern Barn®. The idea behind the Modern Barn is that comfort and luxury come from the abundance of space and light. Soaring spaces in a home let in joy and lift the spirit even in the routine of life. The Modern Barn emphasizes man’s unique connection to nature by maximizing the use of glass to bring in the outdoors, siting the house on the property for the ideal outcome, the prioritized use of natural materials, such as wood, stone, slate and the elimination of walls to optimize the space available.
A home on the East End is a fortunate asset to own. Families of all sizes embrace the power of the peaceful garden, the well stocked kitchen and the bedroom retreat to provide a reliable anchor against the stresses of life. The stimulating life on the move has been replaced by a promise of a contented life by the fire or by the pool… at least for this year!
