Christiane Arbesu
Christiane is an N.Y. based, Canadian-born Cuban who has more than twenty-five years of experience producing video content for some of the most significant public relations companies in the U.S. She is an accomplished executive producer dedicated to creating meaningful visual content across all platforms for various industries.
Her television career began at PBS WNET/Channel 13 in NYC, producing mini-documentaries and working on several public affairs programs. She built and led the production department at MultiVu, a P.R. Newswire Company, and oversaw national campaigns for major brands and corporations. Christiane’s passion for producing compelling videos led her to form her own production company, Terrebonne Productions, whose mission is to create visual content that empowers, informs, and educates the public.
I AM ARBESU is her first feature-length documentary about a woman’s profound and personal journey. When President Obama opened relations with Cuba in 2016, Christiane was finally allowed to make that once-forbidden trek to discover the family and country she never knew. What she found will break your heart and lift your spirits in equal measure. I AM ARBESU has been screened at over 20 film festivals and in several major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Cleveland. It has won the Best Latino Short Film Award at The Latino Film Market, third place at The United Latino International Film Festival in Cleveland, Ohio. It is a winner at the Virgin Spring Cinefest and an Accolade Award recipient.
