R. Gary Campbell is the Treasurer for the housing nonprofit Neighborhood Housing Services of Brooklyn CDC, Inc. (NHS Brooklyn), where he contributed to the organization’s strategic and succession plan as it expanded its reach across Brooklyn. “The work NHS Brooklyn does is vital to the integrity of the community. It gives people hope that the wealth they have created for themselves and their family through homeownership cannot be illegally taken from them,” said Campbell.

A natural leader, Campbell has been a Combat Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served eight years in the Armed Forces, with one tour of Iraq in 2003. In addition to being a member of the Sunset Park Lions Club, he has been President of the Bay Ridge Colonial Club. A true Brooklynite, he has believed in giving back to the community in any way he can. Whether through financial literacy workshops or giving guidance as a licensed life insurance advisor, he has always been looking to assist.

As a financial and sales professional with over 14 years in the banking industry, Campbell has been with Dime Community Bank since 2017, where he has been serving as a Branch Manager.

He is a CUNY alumni and of Jamaican descent. In his spare time, he has enjoyed designing, acting, traveling, working out, and having fun with his family and friends.
