Carlos Gonzalez has been serving as the Head of Operations for Waggers Pet Care that specializes in dog daycare, grooming and boarding. In his role, he has helped facilitate the expansion of new locations while also coordinating and managing the teams and day to day tasks at the two current locations of Bayside and Williamsburg.
As a Long Island native, he has worked in the veterinary industry for over 16 years. He started off as a veterinary technician out of high school while continuing his education and had an extreme passion for the field from the start. When joining Veterinary Care Group in 2016, he was part of a team that helped expand the company that now has 13 locations. With the acquisition of Waggers Pet Care in 2018, he was presented with the opportunity to be part of and take lead on managing this new business model.
Taking on this new challenge, Gonzalez was able to utilize his skills in teamwork, communication, leadership and management to swiftly alter the business to a higher standard and allow for the opportunity to expand this part of the business as well. As the Head of Operations, he has striven to make Waggers Pet Care a top tier facility through keeping a positive outlook and staying on top of market competition with innovative ideas and incentives to keep the loyal customers satisfied.
He was honored to be awarded Stars Under 40 by Schneps Media in 2019. Outside of work, Carlos loves doing projects around the house, outdoor adventures and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
