Christine Guarino

President

A World of Pink

Christine Guarino has been serving as the President of World of Pink. Guarino became a Certified Mastectomy Fitter and a Licensed Lymphedema Fitter in 2015. She has spent her entire life on Long Island, and saw how many local women are affected by breast cancer. On top of the diagnosis, these women do not receive proper care ranging from the mental and physical effects it puts on their bodies. This made her realize she needed to make a change for the many souls touched by the disease.

This led Guarino to start A World of Pink in order to provide medically supported products in all phases of breast surgery, designing top quality bras and expanding women’s wellness through education. Having Accreditation and Licenses from the American Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics, education has continued for most of her life. A major goal of hers has involved educating surgeons on the importance of supportive bras and prosthesis to restore a sense of self-pride, confidence and balance.

Guarino has performed these duties on behalf of the stricken women and not for the accolades, although they have followed. She received many honors in healthcare including citations from New York State for the accomplishments in breast cancer aftercare and Brookhaven Businesswoman of the Year 2015-16. Even before starting A World of Pink, Guarino wrote a cessation program that was approved by the Department of Health which was then turned into a fully accredited teaching course at Farmingdale College in 2014.

Guarino has participated in many non-profit organizations by raising funds for those in need, including PAL-O-Mine Equestrian, the Dr. PJ Dineen Memorial Foundation, Blanca’s House Coat Drive, and feeding the homeless Thanksgiving dinner.

And recently, A World of Pink has expanded locations across Long Island. Guarino has been a wife of almost 30 years, and mother of three beautiful children 16, 22, 26.
