With over 35 years of pediatric specialty experience, Carolyn K. Quinn, (Cari) is the Executive Director at Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) located in New Hyde Park, NY. CCMC’s Level 1 Trauma Center/Emergency Department sees over 60,000 visits a year; In addition CCMC has 12,000 discharged children annually and serves over 750,000 ambulatory pediatric patient visits a year. Recognized year after year by US News and World Report for best in class in pediatric programs, CCMC is also recognized as a pediatric leader in quality and safety by the NY State Hospitals Association pinnacle recognition.

Cari assumed the role of Chief Nursing Officer, in 2003. In this role she had the opportunity to drive operational change through transformational leadership creating a community of collaboration with an emphasis on placing the patent at the center of it all. Her role as CNO culminated in 2016 when CCMC received the highest coveted recognition in the profession of nursing known as, MAGNET Designation.

Cari transitioned to the Deputy Executive Director in 2016. In this role, she broadened influence for pediatric patient safety through standardization of clinical competency, practice guidelines, and care models across disciplines that ensure evidenced based practice across the continuum of care.

She was named Executive Director in 2019, the first woman to hold this position. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight of $550 million in revenue, over 2500 employees and continues to establish a culture of accountability and excellence with the operational team.

Cari is married to Robert, and together they are the parents of four adult children.
