Donna Moravick, RN, NP, MBA, was appointed Executive Director, South Shore University Hospital (SSUH), a member of Northwell Health; Donna has led its remarkable transformation from a community hospital to a tertiary level hospital over the past decade. SSUH is Northwell’s flagship hospital in Suffolk County and is the receiving hospital for the entire eastern region. She works closely with the SSUH management team, is responsible for managing daily operations, and facilitates regional strategies that impact health care throughout Suffolk County. Ms. Moravick’s mantra to “think from the bedside” and her commitment to leading by example have been instrumental in recruiting an exceptional leadership team, bringing clinical excellence to the hospital and influencing the quality of care that SSUH is proud to deliver.

Prior to becoming Executive Director, Ms. Moravick served as the Vice President of Cardiovascular Services for Northwell Health and was responsible for the comprehensive System-wide integration of cardiac services. She began her tenure in cardiac services in 1993 as a nurse clinician for cardiac surgery and was subsequently promoted to Director, Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, North Shore University Hospital, managing its clinical practice. She joined North Shore University Hospital in 1981 as a staff nurse in the surgical intensive care unit.

Ms. Moravick is a certified primary care nurse practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University; her master’s degree in nursing from Stony Brook University; and, her master’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University. Ms. Moravick and her husband, Patrick, reside in Babylon and have two sons who live in Suffolk County.
