Mr. Sprayregen remains active with the initiatives of his foundation and continues to write and create photographs while spending his time in New York and South Florida.

In 2019 Mr. Sprayregen founded The Gerald Sprayregen Charitable Foundation, the focus of the foundation is to provide financial support to college students and to encourage their participation in democracy. The initial grant was a just-in-time emergency award program to support students that have experienced a personal emergency that has become a financial crisis; facilitating student retention toward program completion by removing financial obstacles.

Sprayregen also created a special fund to assist the families of first responders who lost their lives while working at Montefiore Hospital in NYC during the Covis crisis. Sprayregan heralds philanthropy has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life and has become a very central and fulfilling focus.
