Chairman Jesse Garcia

Jesse Garcia

Chairman of the Suffolk County Republican Party

In April of 2019 Jesse Garcia was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Suffolk County Republican Party. He serves as the first Hispanic County Leader in the State of New York of any party. Jesse also serves as the Chairman to the Town of Brookhaven Republican Committee (BTRC) a post he has held since 2007.
As the Brookhaven Town Republican Committee Leader, Jesse and his team have worked with other hard-working Republicans to accomplish numerous political victories to make the Town of Brookhaven a Republican stronghold in Suffolk County.
As a three-decade political veteran, Garcia has worked as a GOP campaign manager, Brookhaven Town chief of staff and chief of staff to former GOP Rep. Felix Grucci before taking over as Brookhaven Town leader in 2007.
As Brookhaven Republican Chairman, Garcia recaptured control of the Town Board and the Town Supervisor and Highway Superintendent positions after the party had lost control in 2005 in the wake of corruption scandals.
Despite unprecedented and historic challenges in 2020 — including the weaponizing of the COVID pandemic to unleash “no verification” paper ballots and being outspent 4–1 by the New York Democratic machine—Suffolk Republicans secured a string of impressive victories, including: unseating a Democratic New York State Senator, electing two new Republicans to open State Senate seats, and returning Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin to office by a commanding margin and the reelection of all Republican Assembly members. Under Chairman Garcia’s leadership, the Suffolk GOP has flipped Democrat seats on the County Legislature. Now, we are on the precipice of electing a new Republican Majority in 2021.
