Jonathan Tibett

Entrepreneur, Developer, Philanthropist

Jonathan Tibett is the co-founder of ABC Stone, and the founder of Precision Stone and The North American Sculpture Center. He had been an A + D industry leader for 4 decades with an impressive resume of experience working with the global elite of architects, designers, and builders. Locally, Jonathan and his partner redeveloped the historic site of Rothman’s Department Store in Southold and created and dedicated the adjoining outdoor space to the community. Now dubbed Einstein Square, the property was revitalized and opened to the public in 2019 as a place to gather, share, and enjoy. In 2020, Tibett teamed up with a group of local investors to purchase the iconic North Fork Table and Inn, and in 2021, The Shoals will debut as one of the premier hotels and marinas on the North Fork. Mr. Tibett also helped to conceive and produce, Embrace, the highly anticipated addition to Art Without Barriers, the award-winning sculpture garden at Peconic Landing.

Jonathan is a member of the New York Academy of Art Board of Trustees. Tibett supports the Sculpture department with a focus on the use of natural stone as a modality. He also developed and sponsored the Carrara Sculpture Merit Scholarship, an annual award, and residency which sends two MFA students to Carrara, Italy to learn to sculpt stone in the heart of the Apuan Alps.

Mr. Tibett resides in Southold with his wife, Maggie as the proud father of 4 grown children.
