League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes of New York

Prior to becoming the President of the League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes of New York in January 2019, Marc has been the Principal, Managing Director of Port Media Solutions. Port Media provides management consulting, principally in labor relations, media and restructuring.

Marc’s prior experience also includes:

• From 2006 to 2010 CEO of the Daily News;
• From 1998 to 2006 several positions at The New York Times including Senior Vice President of Circulation, Senior Vice President of Production and Vice President of Labor Relations;
• From 1993 to 1998 Vice President and General Counsel at the New York Daily News
• From 1990 to 1993, Marc was an associate at Proskauer Rose; and
• From 1985 to 1990, he served as the Deputy General Counsel and subsequently the General Counsel at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Labor Relations.

Marc has also served as an adjunct professor of labor law at New York University and he is a co-author of “State Regulations of Public Employment” in the Matthew Bender New York Employment Law series.

Marc has served on the Boards of the New York Blood Center, WAN-IFRA World Association of Newspapers and Newspaper Publishers and the Queens Museum.
