Matthew Engel is the President of Langsam Property Services Corp. Langsam is a full service Real Estate Management firm, founded in 1949 that manages approximately 250 properties (8,000 apartments) throughout the New York Metropolitan area. He began his career at Langsam in November, 2001. Mr Engel graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 with a B.S. Economics, and a concentration in Real Estate and Finance.
Mr Engel has a NY State Real Estate Broker’s license and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Mr Engel currently serves as Chairman of the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP), a major industry advocacy organization and on the Executive Board of the Rent Stabilization Association (RSA). Mr. Engel has also previously served as the President (2009-2011) of the Bronx Manhattan North Association of Realtors and serves as the 1st Vice President of the Bronx Realty Advisory Board.
Mr. Engel also serves on the National Board of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the Long Island Board of the UJA – Federation and is involved with countless charitable organizations including Community Mainstreaming Associates, an organization that provides housing and employment services for developmentally disabled adults. Mr. Engel has been married to Ilana Engel since May, 2006 and they reside on Long Island with their two children.
