Stephen J. Silverberg, Esq., CELA, is a nationally recognized leader in Elder Law, estate and tax planning and estate administration. He helps individuals, families, and business owners plan and preserve assets by managing complex legal, tax, and financial issues.
Mr. Silverberg served as President and a director of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He was named a NAELA Fellow, NAELA’s highest honor in recognition of his service to the community and NAELA. He is also a founding member and past president of the New York State chapter of NAELA. He has been designated an Accredited Estate Planner by the National Association of Estate Planning Councils.
Mr. Silverberg is one of less than 550 Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) nationwide, an honor awarded by the National Elder Law Foundation.
Mr. Silverberg holds the AV® Preeminent 5.0 out of 5.0 (Distinguished) rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named a Super Lawyer by his peers for thirteen consecutive years, and a Best Lawyer from U.S. News & World Report.
Mr. Silverberg is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Elder Law, Social Services and Health Advocacy Committees and served as an officer of the NYS Bar Association Elder Law Section. He is a past President of the Pension Council of Long Island. He also served as president of his synagogue’s Men’s Club.
A long-standing member of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County, he was recently elected to the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County.
