Reema Nirola was born and raised in Patiala, India, in a large household. Here, her parents laid the foundations of compassion and empathy, two virtues that Reema continues to possess and has led her to thrive in her current job. Before finding her dream opportunity with Seniors Helping Seniors (SHS), Reema worked as a systems analyst at a software development company and in a hospital’s Performance Improvement and Credentialing Department. She discovered SHS while exploring options when her hospital was downsizing. She was inspired by the mission of Seniors Helping Seniors and quickly came on board- currently, she wears two hats – both as Director/Passion for Seniors of NY and as an SHS Franchise partner. Throughout the last 14 years, Nirola worked with more than 500+ receivers/families and nearly 400+ providers- all of whom would say it is rare to find someone with a heart of gold and strong work ethic like Reema Nirola. She is honored to be nominated for this award and thanks to her family, her community, receivers, and providers without whom she wouldn’t be where she is today. She resides in Plainview, Long Island, and is a loving wife and doting mother and grandmother.
