Robert Zimmerman, Co-President ZE Creative Communication, has extensive experience in national and international media relations, branding communications, and crisis management. He has compiled an extensive background in government and community service. President Barack Obama nominated Zimmerman to serve as a member of the National Council on the Humanities. He was appointed to the New York State SAGE Commission, charged with the most extensive restructuring of state government since the 1920s. He serves as a member of the American Museum of Natural History Board representing New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for an Urban Future located in New York City. In 1995, Zimmerman was appointed by President Clinton to serve on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Presidential Commission on the Arts. He held that position through June of 2001. A Democratic National Committeeman from New York, Zimmerman has appeared on CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, and New York media discussing a wide range of public policy issues. Zimmerman oversees all of the agency’s public relations, crisis management, and branding communications activities, while personally leading account teams servicing some of the agency’s largest clients. In 2013, he was the recipient of the lifetime achievement award by the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island. In 2017, Zimmerman was honored by the LGBT Network of Long Island and Queens and in 2019 he was honored by the Long Island Progressive Coalition.
